As many of you know, I am cleaning my studio to be more efficient. I have the 3d printer set up so the lengthy prints can happen while I work on other things.
Today's print with butter*-colored filament will be coaster #2 to go with my first grey one. I don't know about you, but when I see anything with perforations and well spaced holes, I wonder, "how could I weave this?!"
So, I am making a second print to use on my table, and ponder weaving upon it!
Speaking of Butter*...I was inspired by my friend, Deborah Jean Cohen's good news and celebratory cupcakes to bake some up! At 8000 ft, not all recipes are a smash... this one worked for me, but was written for sea level with high altitude adjustments. I added dehydrated raspberries and lemon zest to the buttercream, and will definately do it again! So, yes, it was a little warm outside but they were a quick bake and 12 cupcakes were plenty. I was not supplying my kids' classroom like in days gone by.
In fact, the last class bake met a dire ending... they were on the counter, ready to be boxed, when our bloodhounds came in from outside. Think the Bumpus hounds from The Christmas Story...full lumbering and saggy jaws. Their casual wide open mouth entry was the last we saw of the first row of treats. No more bloodhounds.
Here's the recipe!
